About us
J. & L. Lobmeyr was founded in Vienna in 1823 by Joseph Lobmeyr—over 200 years ago. We quickly became purveyor to the Imperial Court. A love of the material, an emotional relationship to the product, and personal commitment has defined each generation. Lobmeyr glasses are still blown, cut, engraved, and polished entirely by hand. All of our lighting products are manufactured at our atelier workshops in the heart of Vienna. The Lobmeyr company focuses on a contemporary interpretation of glass and light, and never stops cultivating its heritage. The old inspires the new, and traditional knowledge facilitates innovation. Together with designers like Josef Hoffmann and Adolf Loos in the past, and today Ted Muehling, formafantasma, and Michael Anastassiades among others, we create fine handmade crystal and chandeliers that are appreciated by connoisseurs all over the world.

We are pleased to be exhibiting together with our friends from WIEN PRODUCTS.
maison&objet is consolidating their September edit substantially and we all are curious how this will develop. We think, that physical fairs are essential to meet and to feel the product, get inspiration and - its Paris.
We still celebrate 100 years of our most important classics debut at the 1925 Art Deco exhibition. Today we take it for granted, that a wine glass is thin and has an elegant organic shape. But it has been not that long ago, when Lobmeyr stood alone with this opinion. I must admit, that we are a bit proud of being quite a trendsetter here. It seems rewarding to think design radically and to stand with your opinions, even if it’s not the prevailing trend.
The image below shows our bestsellers, having been presented back then plus 4 challenging items - part of a series of over 100 designs Oswald Haerdtl suggested in the early 1920ties. These are now available for some time. Also the famous #lobmeyrcandydish and the #lobmeyrambassador had been part of this convolute. Maybe you like to set a focus on this theme for your customers this fall or winter?
Besides this we also will introduce two preciously engraved pieces, one of them has been presented in Paris 1925 and the otherone designed by @sebastianmenschhorn
